Mike Hilton played a big role in the Steelers come from behind victory against the Colts Sunday and has been rightfully honoured.
He recovered the Philip Rivers fumble caused by T.J. Watt’s sack and returned it 14 yards to the Colts’ three-yard line. The Steelers took advantage of the recovery when James Conner punched it in to tie the game.
After the Steelers fought back to take their first lead of the game in the final period, it was Hilton’s interception that stopped the Colts in their tracks with six minutes remaining to ensure the Steelers win.
This is the second time in his career Hilton has won the AFC Defensive Player of the Week honour. He previously won it in Week 16 of the 2017 season. Hilton joins former Steelers cornerbacks Ike Taylor (2) and Rod Woodson (4) in winning the award multiple times.
