T.J. Watt won the AFC Defensive Player for November following the same honour he was awarded for September.
Watt has registered 11.0 sacks and 33 QB hits this season. He is the first player since 2015 and second over the last 15 years to record at least 11.0 sacks and 33 quarterback hits in the first eleven games of a season.
He needs at least 2.0 more sacks this season to join Pro Football Hall of Famers Reggie White (four seasons) and Derrick Thomas (three) as the only players to record at least 13.0 sacks in three of their first four seasons since 1982, when the individual sack became an official NFL statistic. Watt recorded 13.0 sacks in 2018 and 14.5 sacks in 2019.
Nine players have earned the Defensive Player of the Month honour twice in a year and these five ultimately took the honour for the year… Aaron Donald (2018) J.J. Watt (2014) J.J. Watt (2012) Charles Woodson (2009) Bruce Smith (1996).
